The “Number of the Beast” is Best Grasped Using Galileo’s Understanding of the Mathematical Nature of Reality: “A Little Scroll” of Gematria Will One Day Identify the Antichrist With a Cipher Key of Six
Setting aside the number 906 – the mystical number of JESUS CHRIST – we have previously observed that the numbers 444, 888 and 1110 are true numbers in the Saint John Code. But what of the number 666, which is “the number of the beast” according to Saint John’s Apocalypse? See Rev 13:18. Does the number 666 jump out of this Bible-based math code in any meaningful way?
It sure does! The numbers 444, 666, 888 and 1110 are true numbers in our God-composed “symphony of creation” principally because they are perfectly proportional to each other: 444 is exactly 222 below 666 and 666 is exactly 222 below 888 and 888 is exactly 222 below 1110! Carl Friedrich Gauss (1777-1855 A.D.), Germany’s “Prince of Mathematicians”, once stated: “Mathematics is concerned only with the enumeration and comparison of relations.” The precision, proportionality and relationship between the numbers that we observe here certainly does not bespeak of randomness and chance, does it? Well, if randomness and chance can be reasonably ruled out, and a purposeful plan of human beings can also be absolutely ruled out, does that mean that there is truly a mathematical nature to reality as we know it?
A. Galileo Galilei and the Mathematical Nature of Reality
Professor Mark A. Peterson, who is the author of Galileo’s Muse: Renaissance Mathematics and the Arts, wrote the following in his separate college-level physics textbook:
It may be obvious now that Nature is mathematical, but until recently it was universally held that the world is not mathematical, that it is too complex and chaotic for that. Galileo’s opponents, for example, ridiculed the idea that mathematics had anything to tell us about what the world is really like. Gradually, pioneers like Galileo began to discern simplicities in the complexity, things so simple that we can describe them with mathematics after all.

Pope Benedict XVI, who seems to have a special place in his heart for the towering intellect of Galileo, commented on how mathematics, rightly understood, shows that there indeed exists both an order in nature and an order in the human mind that points toward “a unique creative Intelligence” – the Creator Spirit, that is, God.
Matter has an intelligibility that can speak to the human mind and point out a way that goes beyond the mere phenomenon. It is Galileo’s lesson which led to this thought. Was it not the Pisan scientist who maintained that God wrote the book of nature in the language of mathematics? Yet the human mind invented mathematics in order to understand creation; but if nature is really structured with a mathematical language and mathematics invented by man can manage to understand it, this demonstrates something extraordinary. The objective structure of the universe and the intellectual structure of the human being coincide; the subjective reason and the objectified reason in nature are identical. In the end it is “one” reason that links both and invites us to look to a unique creative Intelligence.
None other than Albert Einstein was amazed by this same phenomenon identified by Pope Benedict XVI. It caused Einstein to ask: “How is it possible that mathematics, a product of human thought that is independent of experience, fits so excellently the objects of reality?” The correct answer was suggested by Pope Benedict XVI many times: It’s because the “mathematical structure” of the cosmos is created by the same God who creates the human spirit and the human mind. As the wise Pontiff taught:
The fact that matter has a mathematical structure, is spirit-filled, is the basis of the modern natural sciences. It is only because matter is structured intelligently that our mind can interpret and actively refashion it. . . . [T]his intelligible structure comes from the same Creator Spirit who also gave us our own spirit . . . The Spirit who fashioned [matter and our spirit], is more than mathematics – he is Goodness in person who, in and through the language of creation, points out to us the way of an upright life.
What Pope Benedict XVI says about the “mathematical structure” of nature – Galileo’s most important observation and contribution to science – is an absolute peer-tested truth of modern-day science, yes, even into the 21st century. In fact, Nobel-winning physicist Leon M. Lederman once wrote that “[t]he language of the laws of nature is mathematics.”
In his book Is God a Mathematician?, the Hubble telescope’s astrophysicist, Dr. Mario Livio, quotes Galileo stating: “Philosophy is written in that great book which lies before our eyes . . . It is written in the language of mathematics.” And Dr. Livio then concludes:
Mind-boggling, isn’t it? Centuries before the question of why mathematics was so effective in explaining nature was even asked, Galileo thought he already knew the answer! To him, mathematics was simply the language of the universe. To understand the universe, he argued, one must speak this language. God is indeed a mathematician.
Arithmetic is the simplest language of God, the Greatest Mathematician – who we know from the Holy Bible is also the Grandest Composer of all of salvation history! As we have seen on the page “Mathematical Proof of God’s Existence,” the Saint John Code clearly shows us that there is a “mathematical structure” to human language, and it’s something that you don’t need an Ivy-League-level education to understand – rather, it requires just a hand-held calculator! Indeed, as Galileo once observed, “[a]ll truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.”
Now let us turn to the number 666, and incorporating Galileo’s perceptiveness about the mathematical nature of reality, let us see if the Saint John Code can assist us in understanding its modern-day meaning.
B. Saint John’s Book of Revelation Calls for Galileo’s Mathematical Wisdom
Saint John the Evangelist wrote the Book of Revelation, also known as The Apocalypse, which includes the following words: “This calls for wisdom: let him who has understanding reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human number, its number is six hundred and sixty-six.” Rev 13:18. The wisdom that is called for to decipher “the number of the beast” is in fact the wisdom of Galileo, the understanding that the universe is made by the Greatest Mathematician – the Logos, the One who creates the Great Pattern, He who is Intelligibility Himself!

Patmos is a small island in the Aegean Sea near the mainland of Greece, off the coast of modern-day Turkey. Patmos is one of the Dodecanese, a group of 12 large islands, plus a greater number of smaller Greek islands. At the beginning of the Book of Revelation, Saint John identifies himself, his place of exile, and the reason for his exile: “I John, your brother, who share with you in Jesus the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.”
Saint John was in fact being punished by the Roman Emperor Domitian, who reigned from 81 A.D. to 96 A.D. Domitian was the instigator of the second persecution against the young Christian Church, and Saint John was persecuted by him because the beloved Apostle had the courage to preach the truth to people about Jesus Christ. Church tradition says that Domitian first tried to kill Saint John by forcing him to drink poisoned wine, but when Saint John said a blessing over the wine, the poison left the wine in the form of a snake. That’s why at the beautiful Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan there is a statue of Saint John that shows him holding a cup with a snake slithering out of it. In other churches, stained glass depicts this traditional story. These items stand as a kind of symbol of Christian victory over wickedness.

While on the island of Patmos, the elderly Saint John was forced to live in a cave, and from there he dictated the Book of Revelation to a trusted deacon.

In the Book of Revelation, Saint John recorded many supernatural encounters, including with the Lord Jesus Christ, the God-man that Saint John knew so well.

Saint John also recorded encounters with the Lord’s angels. Most biblical scholars believe that one of the angels that Saint John describes in the Bible’s last book is the Archangel Saint Gabriel. Of particular importance here is the angel that Saint John describes in Chapter 10 of Revelation, the angel that gave Saint John “a little scroll” – “a little scroll” of gematria that we’re calling here the Saint John Code. The Navarre Bible commentary for Chapter 10 reads as follows: “Although the angel is not named, he may be Gabriel … Gabriel is the name given to the angel charged with explaining the messianic prophecies to Daniel and with communicating divine messages to Zechariah (cf. Lk 1:19) and to the Blessed Virgin (cf. Lk 1:26).”

The Saint John Code offers its own internal confirmation that the angel who Saint John encountered on Patmos, as described in Chapter 10 of the The Apocalypse, was in fact the Archangel Saint Gabriel.

With these beautifully symmetrical results we can say with firm confidence that the Archangel Saint Gabriel is in fact the angel who provided the “librum” – which is the Latin word for “little scroll” – to Saint John on Patmos.

This result translates into “Gabriel’s little scroll.” And this “librum” of Patmos – this “little scroll” – therefore has a direct connection to God!

Is it possible that the Archangel Gabriel showed Saint John what the A-B-C’s of the future Modern English language would look like? It’s more than possible, it’s actually likely.

Certainly God would have perfect and precise foreknowledge of the future English language, and He could have easily imparted that supernatural wisdom to one of His most trusted angels. Thus, this would mean that Saint John actually saw the A-B-C math code that we are using here.

Thus, the mathematical order of the “DNA of language” – with its biblical origin – also proves God’s very existence by a revelation, an uncovering of human language!

In Chapter 10 of the Book of Revelation, there are words from heaven that instruct Saint John to “take the scroll”, and then there are the separate and distinct words of the angel, the Archangel Gabriel, who hands “a little scroll” over to the Beloved Saint and says, “take it and eat”:
Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, … [and he] had a little scroll open in his hand. . . . Pope St. Gregory the Great commented on this passage as follows: “The Holy Scriptures are food and drink to nourish us . . . . The obscure pages, which cannot be understood unless further explanation be provided, are food, because everything must be explained in order to be properly understood, just as everything must be chewed in order to be swallowed. . . . The prophet Ezekiel will hear difficult and obscure words, so he is told to eat the scroll, not drink it, as if to say, ‘Meditate on this teaching and understand it well.’”

The Saint John Code confirms the message of Chapter 10 of the Apocalypse. In Revelation Chapter 10, Saint John was specifically told by the Archangel Gabriel to take the scroll and eat it, and then, after eating the scroll, Saint John is told to prophesy. Later, in Chapter 13 of the Book of Revelation, Saint John does indeed prophesy, stating that “wisdom” requires us to “reckon” – to add up – “the number of the beast.”

This result, quite frankly, cuts to the heart of the matter.
Not only was the Archangel Gabriel sent out to deliver the most important message of God’s Incarnation, he has also been sent out on other important messenger missions for God, including for the End Time messages that he carried to the prophet Daniel, messages that will help to reveal the identity of the Antichrist.

Likewise, on Patmos, Saint Gabriel revealed a hidden code to Saint John, a code that will be used (at its proper time) to do the same task: it will definitively identify the Antichrist, the man described by Saint John in Chapter 13, verse 18 of The Apocalypse as a “beast.”

While some may no doubt think that the number 666 is somehow meaningless because the Antichrist could deceive the entire world simply by not having his name equate to 666 in this Bible code, if that’s your view, then you have an upside down way of looking at Who actually controls this universe. It is God in control and He guarantees you, through His Holy Word, that the beast’s first and last name will equate to 666. Hence this is the plain truth: God will not allow His Holy Word to be made to be a lie – a lie that would lead the children of God into hell. Never! Of this we can be certain.

Once the people of God find the correct key to read Revelation 13:18, we can be assured that the only way that the beast or his cohorts (and there will be many) can deceive us is to confuse us about the key, or (even more likely) to confuse us into thinking that there is really nothing to unlock with the key, falsely asserting that the words of the Bible are meaningless, or that they don’t even apply to the Antichrist, that they only apply to a long-past figure like the Roman Caesar Nero. But now sensible people using nothing but reason, arithmetic and common number sense can conclude that the following words have a definitive meaning applicable to the future Antichrist: “This calls for wisdom: let him who has understanding reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human number, its number is six hundred and sixty-six.”
So the 666 Bible “beast” is the Antichrist and this “beast” will be identified via the Modern English gematria found here.

“Lift the veil”, that means an uncovering, and that’s precisely what the word apocalypse means: it’s a revelation of truth!

This identifies six as the key, a “human number” – man’s number – because, in Genesis 1, Man was figuratively made on the sixth day. And so we can see that there is an equivalence in the Saint John Code between these three results.

C. The Confirmation of the Fatima Miracle of the Sun
Importantly, one of the officially approved apparitions of the Roman Catholic Church that the Saint John Code from God more fully unmasks is the 1917 message of Fatima brought to the world by the Immaculate Conception. And, in turn, the message of Fatima actually more fully unmasks an important truth about the Saint John Code, namely, that we need Chapter 10 of the Book of Revelation to understand the meaning of Chapter 13 of that same Bible book – 10/13. To understand why, let us very briefly turn to the holy apparition of Fatima now and see how it and the Saint John Code are miraculously connected.
Again, this will teach us that the numbers 10 and 13 must be viewed together – 10/13. So first take a moment to ponder these next results in light of the fact that the famous Fatima Miracle of the Sun occurred on October 13, 1917.
Again, this will teach us that the numbers 10 and 13 must be viewed together – 10/13. So first take a moment to ponder these next results in light of the fact that the famous Fatima Miracle of the Sun occurred on October 13, 1917.

Thus, it is by use of faith and reason that there is the revelation of a kind of mysterious – yet very explicit – connection between Fatima and the Saint John Code. And it’s the numbers that tell the tale here. Mary appeared six times to the Fatima children, which is, of course, a significant number in the Saint John Code. Also, the date of the modern-day miracle is very significant: 10/13. Again, the unmistakable connection between those two numbers and the Saint John Code is found in two chapters in the Book of Revelation, Chapter 10 and Chapter 13. Revelation Chapter 10 is the place where Saint John discusses the mysterious scroll – “a little scroll” – given to him by the angel, who is the Archangel Gabriel. The angel tells Saint John that it is by this scroll that he could “prophesy about many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.” In Revelation Chapter 13, on the other hand, Saint John makes an implicit but very clear reference to the letter-number system of gematria. In fact, the commentators in The Navarre Bible – the Bible series begun by Saint Josemaria Escriva – specifically refer to gematria, saying that, at verse 18, Saint John “uses a method (called gematria in Greek) to reveal the name of the beast in numerical form.” So in Chapter 10 there is a mysterious scroll that Saint John “ate”, and, in Chapter 13 there is an absolute and clear reference to gematria – a math code. The two are definitely related.

The Miracle of the Sun at the Fatima Cove on 10/13/17 – witnessed by 70,000 people in Portugal on the sixth month of the apparition – points to the truth. And wrapping ourselves within that truth, we can also see precisely how Mary embodies "the highest honor of our race."

So this goes to show you that you can trust the Saint John Code to reveal truth, the truth about God, and, yes, even the truth in the future about the identity of the Antichrist. But when it comes to the Antichrist, have no real fear about him because we know how the story ends: God wins! "Come, Lord Jesus, come!"
